About this policy

This policy explains how Ridge Finance ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information collected through this website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

If you go on to apply for a loan with us, we will give you additional privacy and credit disclosures that cover how we handle your information as part of that process.

What we collect

When you use our enquiry form, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (if you provide it)
• The type of loan you are interested in
• Your suburb (if you provide it)
• Your message

When a referral partner uses our referral form, we collect the partner’s name, business and email, and the client’s name, phone number, email address (if provided), the type of loan they need and any notes.

We also record the page the form was submitted from and the date and time of submission. Like most websites, our hosting provider may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and performance purposes.

How we use it

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to your enquiry or referral
• Contact you to discuss your lending options
• Keep a record of our communications
• Improve our website and services
• Meet our legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Referrals

If you are a referral partner, you must have your client’s consent before sending us their details. We will contact the client to confirm they are happy to speak with us. With the client’s consent, we may update the referring partner on the progress of their enquiry.

Who we share it with

We may share your information with service providers who help us run our business, such as our email delivery and website hosting providers. These providers only use the information to perform services for us.

If you proceed with a loan application, we will share your information with lenders, aggregators and other parties involved in the application, as explained in the disclosures we give you at that time.

Some of our service providers may store data outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as required by law.

Access and correction

You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing help@ridgefinance.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please email help@ridgefinance.au. We will look into it and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
